Webinar on the US Faculty Survey 2018: A National Survey with Local Impact
Join us for a webinar as we prepare to field the US Faculty Survey this fall.
National Survey: Local Impact
April 5, 2018
Noon – 1:00 pm (EDT)
As in previous cycles, the survey explores the research and teaching practices, perceptions, and needs of scholars at four-year colleges and universities. This year, we’re developing new thematic areas, including research dissemination, instructional practices and open educational resources, and teaching and learning analytics.
The national survey provides important trend information on how faculty approach their work, discover resources, and perceive the library. But how do your faculty compare? We invite you to run the same questionnaire on your campus and gain insight into your faculty to inform your strategic decision making. And, when you field the local survey in the 2018/19 academic year, in addition to your own institution’s findings, we will provide you with a report from the US Faculty Survey 2018 specific to your institution’s Carnegie classification.
Ithaka S+R’s surveys lead Christine Wolff-Eisenberg will be on hand to discuss our methodology, the changes we’re making to the national survey, and the timeline for running the local survey on your campus. She’ll be joined by Elizabeth Edwards (University of Chicago) and Sue Thompson (Cal State San Marcos), who have run the local surveys at their institutions.
