In fall 2015 and winter 2017, Ithaka S+R invited a select group of higher education administrators and experts to join a panel of advisors and take part in annual surveys on issues of national importance in higher education. These experts were invited to join the panel based on their expertise in the field and their affiliation with innovative or influential institutions. The final panel of 164 experts includes presidents, provosts, other administrators, and faculty members from community colleges, liberal arts colleges, and private and public research universities. The panel also includes representatives from foundations, membership associations, research or policy organizations, and for-profit institutions.
Ithaka S+R analyzes and publishes the results of the Higher Ed Insights surveys to inform the broader higher education community about the panel’s views on current debates, initiatives, and challenges. The results of these surveys also help guide Ithaka S+R’s research agenda. While the results we share are anonymized, several panelists have shared their views on the topics the surveys cover.
