Nechelle Calhoun is a Sr. UX Designer with the ITHAKA Labs team, where she contributes to strategic innovation initiatives that expand opportunity and strengthen postsecondary education. Her work supports the credit mobility efforts, designing tools and systems that help institutions better serve transfer, adult, and nontraditional learners.

With a background in user experience research, systems thinking, and inclusive design, Nechelle partners with researchers, engineers, and higher education leaders to translate complex institutional challenges into intuitive, actionable solutions. She leads end-to-end design processes from discovery and usability research to prototyping and implementation ensuring that products are grounded in evidence and responsive to the real needs of students and administrators.

Nechelle brings experience across higher education and direct-to-consumer digital platforms, combining strategic insight with thoughtful execution. She is particularly interested in how design can improve transparency, equity, and decision-making in academic pathways.
