Elizabeth Lovero is a senior software engineer at ITHAKA Labs, currently working on the JSTOR Access in Prison initiative. Before joining ITHAKA, she was a data visualization engineer at the Simons Foundation’s Flatiron Institute and previously held software engineering roles in industry, as well as curatorial positions at institutions such as the Harry Ransom Center and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her work focuses on turning complex data into intuitive, visually rich tools that help people see patterns and make decisions, drawing on a career that bridges art, libraries, and technology. Elizabeth holds an MSIS from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA in French and international relations from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has completed graduate coursework in art history at the City University of New York.
