Andromeda Yelton
Andromeda Yelton is a Lead Software Engineer at ITHAKA Labs, where she shepherds the Transfer Explorer project. She has previously been a software engineer at a variety of organizations dedicated to cultural heritage and access to knowledge, including the Berkman Klein Center, the MIT Libraries, and the Wikimedia Foundation. She has also been a contract machine learning researcher at the Library of Congress and an adjunct faculty member at the San José State University iSchool, teaching prospective librarians about AI. She has been a longtime voice in the library technology scene, including as an invited speaker internationally and a past President of the Library & Information Technology Association. She holds a BS in mathematics from Harvey Mudd College, an MA in classics from Tufts University, and an MLIS from Simmons University.
