James Kirkland is a senior operations specialist on Ithaka S+R’s Strategy and Operations team. His work supports the organization’s business operations, including contract management, financial operations, and grants management. Prior to joining Ithaka S+R, he served for ten years at the NJ Council for the Humanities, first as their office manager until his promotion to Program Officer in 2019, assuming responsibility for the oversight and management of their grantmaking. James holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Temple University and is a first generation, adult college graduate.
