Justin Beauchamp served as an intern with Ithaka S+R’s Educational Transformation team, working on the American Talent Initiative and other related projects. They are currently a PhD student in the sociology program at the CUNY Graduate Center, having just completed their first year of coursework, with a broad interest in the role of higher education in the public good. Prior to their graduate program, Justin worked professionally in higher education, mostly in student affairs positions. Most of their work generally focused on transition, retention, and student success initiatives, along with responsibilities in student government, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and student leadership development. Justin has a master’s degree in college student personnel from Bowling Green State University and a bachelor’s degree in social identity development from the University of Connecticut.
