Maya Godbole is an intern with Ithaka S+R’s Surveys and Research team. She is a PhD Candidate in the basic and applied social psychology program at the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center. Her research centers around understanding (and intervening against) situational factors that impact underrepresented minorities’ belonging, achievement, and participation in organizations and higher education. She holds a BA in psychology from the University of Rochester and an M.Phil. in social psychology from CUNY, and prior to beginning her graduate studies, worked at SUNY Downstate Medical Center as a research associate. At Ithaka S+R, she is working on identifying themes for a climate survey/DEI audit targeted toward academic libraries and previously conducted research to identify important surveys, associations, and conferences in institutional research.
