Meg Daly is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education and Professor of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University. As Associate Dean, Meg leads OSU’s initiative to implement a new General Education and works to make academic policies more transparent and equitable. She earned her BA and PhD in Biology at George Washington University and was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Kansas Museum of Natural History. She has been the Principal Investigator on numerous awards from the National Science Foundation, including a Research Experience for Undergraduates site program that provided research opportunities for students in bioinformatics and evolutionary biology. Meg has built programs for public outreach through the OSU Museum of Biological Diversity, including a collaboration with the Central Ohio Library Consortium that puts small displays in public libraries. These efforts pay forward the role natural history museums had in nurturing her passion for the natural world and education.
