Rachel Fleming-May is an associate professor in the University of Tennessee’s School of Information Sciences. Prior to earning her doctorate degree from the University of Alabama’s College of Communication and Information Sciences in 2008, she worked for several years as an academic and public library public services librarian. Her research interests include approaches to assessing the value and impact of academic library services, understanding the role of the library in the academy, foundational concepts in LIS, and the intersection of creative writing and information.
