Zhuo Chen
Zhuo Chen is an educator at S+R, where she develops and delivers educational programming focused on artificial intelligence and digital literacy. She brings extensive experience in technical education from her previous role at Constellate of ITHAKA, where she created and taught Python programming tutorials to help researchers analyze textual data using AI and machine learning approaches.
Zhuo has specialized expertise in making complex AI concepts accessible to diverse audiences, including her development of a comprehensive 5-part series that unpacks the algorithms underlying transformer-based large language models. At S+R, she works to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technologies and practical educational applications, promoting broader understanding of AI’s potential and implications. Her background includes collaborative work with libraries, faculty, and students to expand access to AI literacy education and help learners navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence tools and applications.
Zhuo holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in English from Wuhan University, a master’s degree in Education from the University of Delaware, and a PhD in Linguistics from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
