Christy McDaniel is a researcher on Ithaka S+R’s Educational Transformation team. Her research experience spans K-12 and higher education, and includes both quantitative and qualitative methods. She has participated in projects investigating the implementation and design of educational programs, including educational technology, as well as undergraduate student outcomes and faculty experiences during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Before pursuing her graduate studies, Christy taught elementary school language arts in Jacksonville, Florida. She holds a master’s degree in sociology and education from Columbia University’s Teachers College and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duke University.
