Funder mandates and governmental policies as well as fraud and piracy – to name just a few of the forces — are changing the nature of the scholarly publishing business. Mergers and acquisitions are the headlines; however, there are significant changes happening internally to many companies. And, there are industry-wide efforts to foster greater collaboration and improved researcher experience. In this keynote, our speakers will reflect on the trends they are tracking and what they signal for the strategic dynamics around scholarly publishing and their implications for societies?
