Christy McDaniel is serving as an intern with Ithaka S+R’s Educational Transformation team. She is currently working on a qualitative investigation into the role of stakeholders in implementing advising technologies as well as quantitative and qualitative projects looking at how students experienced the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She recently received her master’s degree from the sociology and education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include equity, mental health, and organizational theory. Before pursuing her graduate studies, Christy taught elementary school language arts and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duke University.
