Sage Love
Sage is an analyst at Ithaka S+R in the Libraries, Scholarly Communication, and Museums program, where they support the design and execution of a diverse portfolio of research studies through logistical coordination, mixed-methods analysis, administrative oversight, and platform-level programming and management.
Sage’s current research interests focus on the mental health crisis among college students, with an emphasis on the structural and systemic factors shaping student well-being. Their work is grounded in a mixed-methods approach that integrates qualitative inquiry and quantitative analysis to better understand the lived experiences of students and the institutional responses to emerging mental health challenges. In pursuit of this research agenda, Sage is currently completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification and is enrolled in the M.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Western Illinois University – Quad Cities.
Prior to joining Ithaka S+R, Sage served as a federal grant reviewer and quality control analyst on the Rural Health Care project at ICF International Inc., working in partnership with the Universal Service Administrative Co. Sage holds master’s degrees in philosophy from George Washington University and in interdisciplinary humanities from the University of California, Merced, as well as a bachelor’s degree in gender studies from California State University, Long Beach.
