We are thrilled to announce that Nicole Betancourt has joined Ithaka S+R as our assessment associate to support our surveys work. Nicole was most recently the assistant project director at Clarion Research, where her work focused on managing market research projects within the transportation, media and entertainment, and technology sectors.

At Ithaka S+R, Nicole will be leading the day-to-day operations of our Local Surveys Program–an area where we have seen tremendous growth since launching the service in 2012. To date, 94 colleges and universities in the US, Australia, Canada, China, and New Zealand have partnered with us to study faculty, graduate students, or undergraduates on their campuses. We’re gearing up to run the seventh national triennial survey of faculty practices and perceptions this fall, and individual institutions are beginning to sign up to run the local faculty survey concurrently with the national study.

Nicole will be working closely with all local survey participants to help them secure institutional approvals, customize their questionnaires, maximize their response rates, and receive timely reporting. She will also lead the administration of our large-scale surveys of faculty members and students, including the US and UK faculty surveys and a survey of community college student needs across seven diverse institutions.

We will be regularly sharing updates in the coming months on our local and national surveys and look forward to continuing to extend the reach and impact of these projects.
